Thanks for the response--one further question. Do you think there would there be substantial benefit to use something like the Classe amp vs. my old SR5006 which could power all but L-C-R, and leave L-C-R for the 6012?

I own the SR6012. I am pleased with the sound, just as I was pleased with the sound of the SR5006 it replaced. But I have recently purchased some new speakers and I am wondering if I should consider an auxiliary amplifier for my system. My new speakers are Chane 2.4 for L-C-R. I saw a Classe...
