Most of these screens don't actually support a 4K resolution. The surfaces are not textureless and thus don't render the tiny pixels beamed from a 4K projector. If you don't use a proper 4K screen you're not getting the quality out of your 4K projector.
There's a saying in the industry. Date your projector and marry your screen. Fixed frame projector screens can easily last 20 years which is why it's better to buy a screen that supports a higher resolution so you future proof yourself as technology progresses to higher and higher resolutions.

I feel like, calibrated don't look as accurate as the NZ9 looks uncalibrated. That picture must be gorgeous! I've seen the NZ8 in action and that was mind blowing. I can only image how good the NZ9 looks.
