Is ENOB calculation correct for example as below?
0 dBFS source sine signal has been attenuated and it's reflected in both THD+N and SNR, but ENOB stays unaffected.
Hi John, I got this
and this
during stepped SMPTE measurement. Is it normal that input RMS level reported in watts during the measurement does not map to the input watts level on the graph?
Does the x-axis on the graph operate A-weighted values? Is there a way to switch to unweighted values?
Regarding my issues to get valid results from stepped sine measurements when 2 independent devices are used - enabling "Get fundamental from generator" in RTA window had solved them.
I understand what you've said and I can see your point, but such situation can happen also for online measurements. Plots in RTA windows seems to look fine but no correct distortion panel. No warning, so I've no idea what should I change to get proper results. When I stop the process manually I...
I can imagine that the timing is critical here, but why it works when I stop it manually just one step before the end, and it does not work when it goes to the end itself?
Maybe there is a way to relax a kind of restriction here to let it work in such case?
Hi @John Mulcahy !
I'm trying to make a stepped measurement on the external device, so I capture the output when executing the stepped sine and later I replay it on the external device synchronously with the measurement run in REW. For some reason I cannot get the level based distortion panel in...
It's registry based. I had a Java runtime update and when I've opened REW after I've realized all my settings had been reverted to defaults. I didn't do that intentionally.
Is there any way to restore my settings? HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\JavaSoft\Prefs\room eq wizard seems to contain only...
For existing measurements I can see that the highest harmonic included seems to be 22
but the default setting seems to be 50 now
and that's what I can see for new measurements
Should I set this setting to 22 to have new results comparable to the old ones?
