What are you listening to right now?

Yeah, it's a great album. The spatial audio remix is definitely worth checking out if you're into that sort of thing.

What movie did you bring home today?

I should have Ben-Hur waiting for me when I get home. I have never seen it, but after Mike's review on it I had to pick it up.

What are you listening to right now?

I'm a fan of that Spacehog album. I just realized last week that Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots by The Flaming Lips is available in Atmos on Apple Music. The surround mix is super impressive!

    Toy Story 5

I do wish they would have stopped after Toy Story 3. That ending was a perfect wrap-up for the story. However, I do enjoy the visual masterpieces that these movies always are.

SVS Springs New Soundbar and 3000 Series Subwoofers at CES 2026

Aren’t those the same feet as their current models? I replaced the feet on mine with the isolation feet right away so I don’t really remember them, but I feel like they might be those tiny ones…

Kaleidescape Launches Mini Terra Prime, an 8TB Solid-State Movie Server

Yeah, I absolutely love the idea of a Kaleidescape. The quality of the movies, the convenience of simply downloading them, even the look of the ecosystem. If you have the extra finances to purchase one, to me it's a no brainer. However, if budget is a concern its a hard pill to swallow.

Kaleidescape Launches Mini Terra Prime, an 8TB Solid-State Movie Server

Yeah, I’ve seen Strato Es around $2500ish. I really want a Terra if I’m getting a Strato. Only having immediate access to about 6 movies or so would really get to me.

Kaleidescape Launches Mini Terra Prime, an 8TB Solid-State Movie Server

Yeah, I've considered that route as well, but you still have to buy the disc. As time progresses and physical media continues to become even more of a niche product, the prices of the discs are going to keep increasing. Movies on Kaleidescape are constantly on sale for $10 or $15. It's just a...

Kaleidescape Launches Mini Terra Prime, an 8TB Solid-State Movie Server

Another step in the right direction, but I just don't think I am their target audience. I would like to be, but I'm just not. I feel like Kaleidescape (or some product like it that doesn't exist yet) is going to be the most realistic alternative for enthusiasts who want better quality than...

    Mic recommendation for REW

I wish I could add something insightful, but Wayne and ddude003 said it all already. I agree with them whole heartedly!

    The Mask - 4K Blu-ray Review

I don't think I've seen this since '94 when I saw it in the theater. Sounds like it is time for a revisit!
