I'm still waiting for ifi to do a DLNA / Chromecast built-in (bit perfect) renderer. For now, I am a happy user of the ifi nano iOne, fed with SPDF optical from a Google Chromecast Audio (discontinued unfortunately) to do the WiFi.
It may well be your old AMD V160, which has a CPU Mark rating of 681. That is very low by today's standards:

The REED R8090 Sound Calibrator is specified to accommodate 1/2 inch diameter sound meters and has an o-ring to assure a snug fit.
My American Recorder SPL-8810 measures 0.51" dia. and is indeed a snug sliding fit into the R8090. Due to low resolution...
