Got an email requesting a post so here goes. In the last 10 years I've more expanded the number of systems rather than the tech within each particularly. Mostly 1080p and 5 or 7 ch (two systems of each) but still have a 2ch setup as well. I didn't go 4k/Atmos due difficult ceilings...
