i guess Sony didn’t want to compete with the A95L carried over from 2023, as the Bravia8 II isn’t offered in 77 or 83. I’m looking for a flagship 77in OLED to replace a Sony A80J, so that really leaves me with the LG G4 or G5 and the Panasonic Z95B.
Two PSA 1813M subwoofers and an Anti-Mode 2.0 Dual Core for the EQ. As for plans to add more, well I don’t have any plans right now, but since when do we ever need plans to improve/upgrade the home theater?……and I’m not married so no WAF!!!
I've been using a 15ft USB A extension(pretty sure it was a Monoprice buy) for over four years now with my UMIK-1 that I bought from Cross Spectrum Labs. No problems what-so-ever.
I was expecting to have this situation with my Sony OLED, but my bias lighting shuts off after a few minutes of my panel being turned off. Also the LX1 lighting(extra large-5m length) powers up just fine with the USB 2.0 outlets on my panel as well, using the USB 3.1 isn't necessary.
@ebrumbaugh , thanks for the review, I've got the exact same Sony panel as you, so your picture sold me and I just ordered a 5m LX1. Hopefully Scenic Labs ships quickly with the express shipping option!
The 77in C2/G2 are most definitely the sweet spots of these LG OLEDs, for $500 more, if I were in the market for an OLED the 77G2 would be an easy decision. I'll be waiting to see how the 77C2 compares to the XR77A80J & XR-77A80K, as well as the 83G2 compares to the XR-83A90J. What I mean by...
I will be looking forward to seeing the results of professional ISF Calibrations of these new LG 2022 C2/G2 OLED panels, and comparing them to the 2021 LG C1/G1 panels.
I've had the XR-77A80J since it was available through BestBuy, March/April 2021 and bought it at the $3499 msrp. I've no regrets at buying it that price even though I know the pre-Super Bowl specials now have it at $2899. November 2021, ChadB ISF calibrated it and it made my viewing pleasure...
I've now watched the Eternals through two different streamers, ie: AppleTV4K(2021) and the current generation FIreTVCube, and both provided their flavor of compressed Dolby Atmos audio, Dolby MAT & DD+. I take it you streamed this with ARC through your Sony X950H and that's why only the Dolby...
I promised to provide you all with a link to our Emotiva Lounge coverage of EmoFest 2017 this past weekend, link below. You'll notice that the first few posts are questions that were asked and answered by several of the Lounge members, including myself, and the answers were provided for the...
So the Cambridge doesn't have a 7.1 analog output, and it cost $699 compared to $549 for the Oppo UDP-203

Cambridge has had Oppo make their blu-ray players in the past, this would be no different now. They were a bit more expensive than their sister Oppo model, but nothing like the Lexicon model BD-30 being marked up at $3500 compared to its sister Oppo BDP-80 @ $500.
Definitely will give you guys an update once the festivities are over. There are quite a few of us from the Emotiva Lounge that will be going and there is always a thread that starts during the event and gets pictures posted, questions asked/answered as things are going on at EmoFest. After...
Absolutely, I've not missed one yet!!! They took a few years off, ie: 2014-2016, because of the emphasis on their growth as a company, so I'm excited to see close friends in the home theater world that I've not spent time with since 2013, though I continually keep up to date with the Emotiva...
