Watched Mercy on UHD last night with the wife:
A bit formulaic, slightly predictable, but I still had a lot of fun with this. A good amount of surround effects, bedlayer and height, so that added to the fun, too. Not an all-out onslaught in overall surround activity, but still pretty good...
I did, Todd! I came back to it a day later to see if it was just me and I was in a mood. :praying: Nope, didn’t get any better!
I’ve got it on preorder. I don’t mind formulaic, especially if it is well done. Based off your impressions and other friends of mine, sounds like it was...
I just watched Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom for the first time on UHD… ugh. What a slog. The dialog, the delivery, the characters, the story… I just could not connect at all. I remember the 1st one being more entertaining than this one.
The audio on it was quite disappointing, too. It...
I remember thoroughly enjoying this when I was younger, but being fully aware that it wasn’t great, but I am curious about how bad I feel it would be if I watched again…
However… if you were inclined to still give it 1.5-2 stars, despite still opting for 3, I am still hesitant that I should...
People either love the vampire shift or hate it. I personally loved it. I also loved the shifting aspect ratios. It’s not going to be for everyone, but it hit home for me.
A few days ago I watched The Accountant and yesterday I watched One Battle After Another.
I thoroughly enjoyed both...
I like that visual cue. I should do that or something like it. Right now I keep a notes file on my ipad/iphone, but as convenient as it is, it’s not as easy as just looking at the wall of movies and seeing which ones I still need to watch. The thing that is beneficial is that I can keep it...
Yep!! I have 53 movies discs that I have bought and have yet to watch…
Just when I make some headway and watch a bunch of movies, a sale happens and I buy more! 🤣
Granted, the last few months I have been doing a lot better, the number HAS gone down, despite more being added. I was at 76...
Yes! Weapons was fantastic. Really, really enjoyed it and have been recommended to watch Barbarians now. I just need to get around it, though I have other movies in the queue that already just keeps piling up.
A Working Man is just more Jason Statham doing what Jason Statham does. I’d say it’s on the same level of Beekeeper. “Man on a mission” and lots of action. It may land better for you, but it also could be just about the same as Beekeeper, too.
War Machine is like Transformers and Predator...
Been on an action-flick kick. Watched “War Machine” on Netflix… really didn’t enjoy that, but the audio mix was fun.
Then also watched two Jason Statham movies: “ Beekeeper” and “A Working Man”
Can’t say that they are amazing movies, but enjoyed them enough at face value, “Beekeeper” a little...
Watched Hamnet on UHD tonight with the wife.
Absolutely loved that movie. Not a movie I can watch often, but it’s a movie I plan to revisit consistently.
Just watched this tonight with the wife. What a great movie and great story telling. Absolutely loved it. Fell in love with Agnes and Will and ran through all of the emotions through the film.
