Your room seems small and if it is, you’re sitting too close to your diffusers. Try removing “all” of your diffusers, leaving only your bass absorbers and retest. Room otherwise looks good though.
I also have (4) subs crossed over higher. Equalization frequencies in sub setup is many times that of the AVR for main speakers. If you can spread your subs around the room generally equally from the listening position you can cross them over higher with better results (confirming with REW).
Is your sound running through Audyssey or another software calibration? If so you can get and run the calibration through the app and change your curves afterwards to make adjustments
After being in audio for 40 or 50 years I thought I finally got to a place with my system with Audyssey tinkering and running REW scans for five years but now you have me thinking... I need to make some acoustic bass and ceiling panels, thanks lol
I am by no means an expert but, do you have a 4 inch space gap from the panel to the wall. I just watch this on several seminars of having the same air space thickness behind the panel as the panel. It makes a 4 inch panel almost an 8 inch panel making it perform much better
Actually every system is different but you’re missing the elephant in the room, which is the room itself. The room will dictate where your crossover is best and to make this the best possible scenario is to have two or more subs on opposite sides of the room so when the crossover points reach...
