    Pioneer sometimes used to explain the model designations, and SC stood for Separate Chassis. I guess this meant that the amplifiers had their own and shielded chassis. Because physically it was all housed in a completely separate tin box with its own fan located under the HDMI boards.

    The Integra 8.4 is only $200 more expensive and has 3XLR outputs, subwoofer outputs for both zones 2 and 3, more Trigger outputs, and usually more sophisticated software, such as subwoofer crossover frequencies for each pair of speakers. In my opinion, Integra is a better product for the money...
