it did work, had some problems with ASIO and the recondition of mic but I worked it out. did a few samples at a low volume, wife got home and dogs are in the house. will try again tomorrow. happy wife happy life.

Im going to try it, stole a cable from the shop computer system. if it works then i will by a new cable.

Grumpy is a nick name that come from spending 30 years fixing other peoples equipment, trucks, and cars. Not to mention running heard on 20 techs that are making me nuts. My mission is to teach my self with some help, how to set up and test my own sound system. Regards Michael B.

Was going to start my install today but I noticed that the lap top that I would "like" to use has a Display Port no HDMI. Can a lap top with a Display Port be used with a Display Port to HDMI cable? Has anyone tried this? Lap Top is a i7 HP pro Book with windows 10.
