I watched Oppenheimer the night before the Oscars this past weekend. I thought the film was interesting, but it was the editing and sound design that really saved it from being a dull and tedious film. Like you, I probably won't watch it again. Dune, on the other hand, definitely worth a repeat...
That's so disappointing to hear, about the mediocre audio. Aliens has so many great scenes that would benefit from a current sound mixing/engineering approach.
I finally got around to watching an older film by director David Lynch titled Lost Highway (1997). If you feel in the mood for a surreal psychological thriller this weekend I highly recommend it!
