I still use every day my VSX-1121-K with my Panasonic Plasma. Love it. Was that model before the Onkyo takeover? I am waiting for the new 505 because I am thinking of upgraded to OLED and Atmos. Hope I won't be disappointed...

They did, but not anymore. Still listed on the Panasonic Canada website, but you can't actually buy any in Canada (unless you find old stock somewhere).

Probably brand loyalty. :) I always liked the Pioneer products that I've owned. I currently run an older system that I still very much like. A 1080p Panasonic plasma with a Pioneer VSX-1121-K, both still really working well after 10 years. But later in the year, I'll probably upgrade to a 4K...

New member here. Thanks for being the first to post some very exciting news about these new receivers! Can't wait to know when they will go on sale. On paper, I'm really interested on the VSX-LX505. Hope I'll be able to get one in Canada once they are released.
