I upgraded from Yamaha RX-A3080 to RX- A8A. The A8A had few more features like AURO 3D, but there was not much difference in the sound quality. I would not recommend this upgrade unless you are getting a real good deal. I have 5.2.4 setup so the extra 2 channels on A8A were not used.

Hi Todd, thanks for the response. No need to apologize. I know you are very busy. I don't understand what you mean by " separate screen that is viewed during playback". You mean I need to be in PIP mode on the TV to get a "separate screen"? So far I have not figured out how to display on the TV...

Then how does one get the on-screen information that Todd discussed and it is also mentioned in the user manual.
