So I'm going to provide some personal information here not because I am trying to garner sympathy but rather just so people who take the time to respond understand where I'm coming from.
Here's the story . . .
I have cancer, but after radiation, chemo, and surgery my latest scan shows me in...
EDIT: Just now saw the DIRAC Live on the right. Is that what this is?
It seems to me the type of graph shown below with relative dB versus absolute dB is preferable, but I do not see any way to generate such a graph in REW. Can anyone explain where this graph came from...
Thanks for the explanation on Pro.
I know if I set my fronts to SIZE - small then when I select 2Ch output on the AVR sound goes to the woofers versus selecting 2Ch when they are set to large in which case no sound goes to the subs. Does that mean REW should be testing the fronts with the sub?
It has been suggested to me on another forum that I test my left main with the sub, and I asked how to do that but so far no reply so I figured I would ask here. Also, since I'm asking is there a way to test multiple channels together? I saw a post from three years ago regarding the Pro...
First a hearty thanks to any that reply as I'm fully aware that any input is meant with the best intentions and comes from average Joe's like myself who are just out to have fun or so I hope :)
Anyways, I started searching for the word "good" in titles to try and figure out what good really...
I have a Sony STR AZ5000ES connected to a 2024 Lenovo/i9 Win 11 laptop with a UMIK-1 running REW through an HDMI connection. I did get my first 20-20k reading yesterday, and I set the speaker output to 85 dB prior to the measurement using NIOSH on my iPhone. The 85dB setting was using the A...
So just trying that out now. I see all my speakers now but the LFE channel is set to 4 and when I try to test the LFE channel I get nothing. All other channels test okay.
Thanks guys! I'm just starting to read the link above, but I was eager to try and see if I could find the setting for adding channels and I did.
Took a preliminary look and this is what I got. I'm certain I have much to learn to make this more meaningful, but it looks pretty good as a start...
Hi Everyone!
New guy here. On the recommendation of folks over on AudioScienceReview.com I have purchased a UMIK-1 and downloaded REW and just started to learn how to use it. I'd like to learn how to use ASIO4ALL with REW so I can test all 5 speakers from 20-20k and not just L+R hence my first...
EDIT: Never mind. It seems to be in the right spot now. Not sure what I was seeing there briefly.
My apolgies! Somehow this is appearing in the Sticky threads. Can it be moved to the regular threads. Sorry again!
Retired guy here. Just starting to get involved in paying more serious attention to my home theater and glad to have found this resource. Looking forward to continuing my recent education! Started multiple conversations on AudioScienceReview.com which is what brought me here as many folks...
