It just happens that when clicked on "Remove all" the confirmation dialog appears behind "EQ Filters" window which is set to be on top thus covering confirmation dialog. Howver confirmation dialog is a modal dialog (in WIndows terms, not sure how it's called in Java) thus preventing setting...
So by spreading filter frequencies a bit makes the peak flatten which would avoid this, right?
The behaviuor of Vary max Q above 200 Hz is understood. But what does limiting Q above 200hz give?
I also noticed another kind of preferential treatment of Q: (speaking of lower frequencies only) REW...
Hit an interesting situation while auto-generating filters. Please see attached "REW filter 1" - what took my attention is that there are two very close filters, 244hz and 250hz. The result of them are shown in attached "REW eq 1". I manually changed them to a single filter as shown in "REW...
I'm wondering if there is a common opinion on microphone placement for measurements.
For simplicity, let assume we're measuring at one point only being the main listening position and frequency range > 150hz.
Obvious choices I see are:
1. Next to the ear measuring speaker on the same side - the...

If you don't mind, I'd like to ask few things.
1. Why, in your opinion, 4-6 or more db deeps aren't matter.
2. I limit max gain to 1db to not math-overflow DAC. Do you think the limit could be higher, at least in higher frequencies?
3. My understanding of Harman curve is (a) it is...
3ms is surely a lot. Thank you very much Mitch, it's clear now. Really appreciate your thorough explanation and especially your time spent on it. Cheers.
I was not aware of this, John. My understanding was, and it is actually happening, is that if target crosses the measurement then those areas below the target will get even deeper below with neighborhoud regions "helping" this to happen. My listening area is as bad acoustically as it could get...
In a past, I was advised to do this so that file can be attached. Apparently, it's no longer a case.
I unchecked "Vary max Q above 200hz" but it didn't help.
House curve is attached.
On a side note, I'd rename "Vary max Q above 200hz" to "Variably limit max Q above 200hz".
@Mitchco: my apologies for confusion.
My problem is that I don't have an analog mic and it's unlikely I will ever have it. So I'd like to keep it purely theoretical, just to have some level of understanding of a degree of errors that could be produced by using USB devices for both input and...
