These models, the Onkyo TX-8470 and the Integra DTM-7.4, will ship at the end of the month and are available for pre-order now.
Priced at $799, the Onkyo TX-8470 is designed for music fans who appreciate high-quality audio and modern conveniences. The receiver features a high-current Class G amplifier that delivers 110 watts per channel into 8 ohms. It supports a wide range of streaming services, including Spotify, Amazon Music HD, Tidal, Deezer, TuneIn Radio, and Pandora, and is compatible with Sonos, Chromecast, and Apple AirPlay. It's also Roon Ready, making it a versatile choice for hardcore music enthusiasts.
In addition to its streaming capabilities, the TX-8470 carries an onboard AM/FM tuner and a bevy of connectivity options. Those options include four HDMI inputs and one output (all ARC-enabled and supporting 8K up to 40 Gbps), one coaxial and two optical digital inputs, a dedicated MM/MC phono input, two USB inputs, and three analog RCA inputs. Many of its specs mirror that of the TX-8470, but it adds a number of integration controls. Those include web setup, IP control, RS-232, IR in/out, 12V triggers, and remote control and diagnostics capabilities compatible with Control4, Crestron, OvrC, Domotz, and more. The receiver’s robust API and discrete commands facilitate seamless integration into any home automation system.
