Which receiver to buy ?
Some say Marantz HADM circuit and which is very good for processing music, some say Denon is good for home theatre and comes in budget.
Yes Marantz are bit expensive. I am looking for long time use and I have a power amp 5 channel rotel as well.

I could just about guarantee you won't hear a difference between the two... so I'd purchase the one you believe looks the best and perhaps consider saving some money.

Both receivers have the same flavor of Audyssey and given your not going to use the internal amps except maybe for powering Atmos I also agree with Sonnie that they would sound virtually the same. I dont put much faith in the one having better audio processing then the other.

I’d have to agree with Sonnie. I think you’ll be hard pressed hearing a difference between the two. And while these companies are technically separate, they sure present products that feel nearly identical... as mentioned, you’ll get top-flight Audyssey, but you also get HEOS and free access to Auro 3D, which is a nice little bonus.

Now, if I were you (and I was looking to save some coin), I think I’d hunt down a great sale price on the SR7012. Nearly indistinguishable from the SR7013 save for IMAX Enhanced).

Definitely give that a close inspection... you might find the SR7012 for about $900.
