So, I’ve been selling most of my tools to update to newer ones. I was lucky and found someone moving out of state and I ended up getting a lot of new tools for pretty cheap. I spent about $400 for everything.

I bought a lot of new DeWalt tools when I started the cabin project two years ago. Really like their cordless stuff.

I bought a lot of new DeWalt tools when I started the cabin project two years ago. Really like their cordless stuff.

I used to have everything Dewalt until I started having issues with my cordless XR drills. I sent them out for warranty, and waited almost a month to get them back only to find out the drill were still not working correctly. I sent them back and it took 3 more weeks to get them back.

I ended up buying some Milwaukee drills until I receive my Dewalt a back, but I ended up keeping the Milwaukee and selling most of my Dewalt tools. The only thing I’ve got Dewalt is the Miter saw, scroll saw, and planer.

Dewalt is pretty good. I had an issue with the new Milwaukee impact drill, and they sent me a new one.

So I ended up returning my jigsaw because I was able to find Milwaukee’s new Fuel jigsaw, which cost $199.99 for $90 brand new. Got lucky on this one.

Milwaukee tools are really good but in my own personal exsperience Makita still have the best cordless particularly the XT series. I've wrecked many a cordless drill using a hole saw to cut pasthrough holes in desks at work because the gears literally fall apart. The Makita XT drills have lasted the longest for me.

I’ve used Makita, Hitachi, Hiti, snapon and other brands and they are all good. Some more expensive than others.

Makita makes good tools, but so far I’ve been satisfied with Milwaukee.

I went ahead and ordered the Dewalt mobile stand for my Dewalt planer. It’s just too heavy to be moving in/out of my garage. It is ready to rock’n’roll.
I also finished putting together the 7x10 shed. I had help from my mother and brother in-laws. It was a PIA to put together, but I’m glad to have it. I’ve got a lot more room in my garage now.
