I wonder if it would be much work to add a toggle to turn on some shading and text showing a "Audio spectrum"
I am not much good using paint but here is an attachment of the basic idea what I am getting at
I appreciate that opinion might dictate that this adds no benefit to REW
Thanks in advance
Andy

Shading the graph would be quite visually intrusive and might cause issues with some trace colours. A stripe along the top of the graph might be a better option. What benefit do you think this would bring?

The strip along the top would be fine perhaps with the addition of the freq covered "Sub Bass 20-60 Hz" " Bass 60-250 Hz" etc etc
as for benefit it would help to visually identify where issues lie, that the dip at 55 Hz affects Sub Bass while the one at 1K affects the mid range
then again I suppose it could be argued that it brings no benefit at all
whether it is added or not I would like to take the opportunity of thanking you for providing such a valuable resource to the audio community

Andy

Adding the frequencies as text would seem a little redundant since the stripe lies along the frequency axis and the boundaries of the boxes align with the start and end frequency of each range. I have added graph controls options in the next build for the SPL & Phase and All SPL graphs to show the frequency bands stripe.
