(February 1, 2023) The Professional Video Alliance (PVA) was founded five years ago by video industry veteran Gregg Lowen. Known for his extensive knowledge relating to standards, calibration, and setup within the video segment – not to mention his hand in creating the THX Video Training Program and a training partnership with the International Colorist Academy – Lowen has spent decades honing his craft. The PVA represents a new chapter for Lowen, offering training and certification for display calibrators, consulting services to industry manufacturers, and product performance certifications.
Sound a bit THX-ish? It most certainly does.
Recently, the PVA and Screen Research announced that Screen Research's ClearPix, Solid Pix, and Fusion Pix series screen materials are the first to receive PVA Certification. All three of these screens can be seen at the Adeo Group’s exhibit at ISE 2023 (Stand 2L600).

PVA Certification stands as independent verification of manufacturer performance specifications, guaranteeing that products "provide the ultimate performance under reference and other demanding conditions." Manufacturers can submit products to PVA's offices or to approved third-party organizations for certification. In addition, the PVA may visit a manufacturer for in-facility testing and make recommendations for excellence concerning product improvement.
To help promote Screen Research's PVA Certification, Lowen is making the trek to ISE 2023 in Spain.
