Samson Go Mic

I will freely admit I'm new and in over my head but learning, I have exhausted all my free Google searches and and apologize if this is a stupid question. Will the Samson Go Mic running in Omni work for checking sub levels. I realize the Umik-1 is the best choice but this is what I have at the moment before I can buy the proper mic.

Should be fine for checking relative levels, you would need an SPL meter or app to calibrate its level readings.

Thanks Sir, its just to hold me over and to give me general idea. Will be getting the proper mic in the next few weeks.
