REW no output to height channels

Hi All

New to the forum. I have recently purchased a calibration mic to properly adjust my 7.1 home cinema setup.

I have installed the latest version of REW and connected to my AV receiver via HDMI, added the ASIO drivers, calibration file etc as per the guide.

All working ok, except I can't seem to get REW to output sound to the two height channels. When I select Output channels 7 and 8, it just plays the sound from the rear left and right again rather than the height left and right.

Anyone else seen this and know why this might be? Is it likely to be a limitation of the laptop I am using?

In order for REW to output to the height channels, REW would have to be able to generate the metadata for those channels so the AVR can send the signals to the correct speakers. That would require REW to incorporate that technology in the code. To do that, @John Mulcahy would have to license the technology from Dolby. That would be very expensive...
