I am trying to run sweeps for my subwoofers in REW and I am getting sound from my left front speaker only.......stuck scratching my head. I have been following a few different guys on YouTube to se these up and of course they are nt having any issues.

You haven't provided much information, but if you are on Windows and using an AV processor you will need to use the ASIO driver option and an HDMI connection to access individual channels. AustinJerry's guide is very helpful for setting up that configuration. If you only want to measure the sub you could just connect your PC's headphone output to the miniDSP's inputs.

I am a Windows user but don't understand why I'd need to use ASIO. This is my second HT setup aligning subs with mini DSP but didn't have this issue with the first using JAVA. I have made sure that JAVA is up to date and have the newest BETA version of REW.

In the Preferences screen on REW I have Java as the driver, Output Device is my Denon, Imput device is the UMK-1. Everything else on there is left at the default setting. When I got to the Levels section I have "use Subwoofers to test signal to check/set levels" selected.

Denon settings: I have turned off Audyssey, speakers are set to small, sub level is at 0.0, crossover is at 250, and am using the stereo setting.

When I do the SPL check for levels I am getting sound from the mains and subs. When I go to take a measurement I am not getting any sub info as the lowest reading I get is ~38hz which is on par with what the Klipsch Rp-8000F frequency range.

If the sub gets signal from the level check it should get signal from the measurement. To check you could try measuring with the sub turned off and see if the result is different, or measure with the mains disconnected.

It seems odd that in the Denon AVR settings for the main LR speakers are set to small and the crossover is at 250Hz and yet you still get ~38Hz coming from your mains???

Problem is.....it’s only measuring the main when I run a measurement.

You will not be able to output signals to anything but the left and right channels using the Java driver. You must use either ASIO4All or FlexASIO drivers to access the individual channels for measurement.
