I've had my copy for a little over a month, and it is the best music disc in my entire collection and the finest overall music experience I've ever had with my system - or any other.

This disc really exceeded my expectations. I really hope more mixes are done in Atmos, the experience is a level above any 5.1 SACD I've ever heard.

It's a fantastic example of what can be be accomplished with music mixed natively in Atmos. Just outstanding. I was never really a huge fan of REM, but this mix elevates their music to another level. If they don't get an award for this album re-mix I'll be shocked. It's an experience that is so fundamentally better than the stereo mix it isn't even funny. And I'm not talking about the musicianship - which is good - or the music itself even - which is good. I'm talking about the mix that puts the musical elements and musicianship into the best possible presentation and elevates the overall experience.

Atmos is more than just "more speakers". It involves the brain in a very different way. The additional volume(and I mean volume as in space, not dB) of Atmos makes it far more relaxing on the brain as different elements of the mix are followed.

In my opinion, Atmos is revolutionary, not evolutionary, for music.

Unfortunately, the very low penetration of Atmos makes finding anyone else that has listened to this Atmos mix very rare indeed. Even amongst enthusiasts and the various forums, I can count on one hand everyone that has indicated they've heard it. :gah:
