(June 24, 2021) Two well-known HARMAN brands, JBL and ARCAM, have announced Roon Ready status for key models in their AV arsenals. Roon Ready can only be claimed by network-capable devices with Roon’s streaming technology built-in, allowing for a seamless discovery and connection process to Roon without any configuration necessary. Roon, in turn, provides music fans with an interface that collects and organizes personal audio files with millions of tracks available on TIDAL and Qobuz, offering searchable access to music, artist photos, credits, bios, reviews, lyrics, tour dates, and much more.

ARCAM’s ST-60 is the company’s first dedicated streaming network player, boasting a wide variety of connectivity options and audiophile-grade digital-to-analog conversion capabilities. It can be used as a DAC for other source components, connecting to an outboard amplifier using analog RCA or balanced XLR outputs, while playing host to Hi-Res streaming through built-in services and, of course, Roon. The ST-60 is designed to complement other ARCAM gear, adding visual flair with a full-color front panel that displays album art, in addition to source, artist, track, and album information.

The JBL SA750 is an exclusive 75th Anniversary Edition Integrated Amp endowed with slick retro styling and vintage teak-wood side panels. Tech-wise, it carries powerful modern technologies, including Dirac Live, a high-resolution DAC, and a potent Class G amp that delivers 120 watts per channel. In addition to its Roon Ready status, the SA750 has broad Hi-Res streaming capabilities.

HARMAN says ARCAM customers should run software version 0.67/1155 (minimum), while JBL customers should run 1.70/1155 (minimum), to take full advantage of Roon Ready status.

Love the look of the JBL SA750. Reminds me of an old Sansui unit I use to have back in my younger days.

Yes, its retro look is an ideal match for the JBL L100 Classic speakers :)
