Hi, I am just wondering about interface calibration is it correct that my microphone is connected to my left input 1 and my Loopback is connected to my right output 2 and input 2.

When I go through the pages of calibration, it seems that the calibration input is been taken from the microphone input 1.

Preferences. I have set up my microphone to come in on the left and the loop back on the right (default).

In the levels panel, I see Out, In Ref In, is Ref in Loopback. = calibration?

What am I doing incorrect here?

Thanks

For interface cal replace the mic by a loopback connection, cal is for the measurement path.

Ah I see, so then I calibrate Ch1, then remove loopback from Ch1 and put it in Ch2?

And the reason we are doing this is because we need to calibrate the microphone channel?

Yes. It is done partly to make sure interface low and high end roll-offs are calibrated out, but mostly to make sure there is no inadvertent monitoring active since mixing any of the input back to the output makes the measurements meaningless.
