Bought my first VTF-15 mk2 2 years ago and just got my second earlier this year. I finally went to move the box into the attic and it wouldn't fit... Turns out the new box is way bigger lol. See for yourself:

Now... I usually keep the boxes but these things take up a lot of room. Should I chunk them? I'll probably upgrade my subs in a couple years but honestly if I sell them I should stick to local sale only due to the weight.

Hah well maybe after a few damaged subs they upped their packaging game.

I just had some gear arrive and the box was a bit mangled. FedEx, UPS, AND uSPS seems to like to drop kick audio gear. The bigger and heavier the worse off it will be.

If you’re selling them in just a couple years, I’d hang on to the box. That way you can sell them on ebay and 1) have a better chance of selling them, and 2) get a better price.

Wayne

Agreed, having the box adds value on resale. Not to mention if you ever move the box keep the sub protected.
I've kept almost every box for all my equipment for the day I need to sell or move.

I keep all of my boxes, definitely increases resale value. The boxes can be knocked flat for easier storage.
