I cannot play .wav files created by the Generator. Devices report the files are Unsupported Format.
From the Generator I created a .wav file (20-20,000 Hz sweep, 48Khz, 32bit float) and saved to USB thumb drive.
When I attempt to play this file on 2 different devices (Denon AVR-X4500h and Sony x700 Blueray player) I get a message "Unsupported Format". Both devices specify they support .wav.
Ive created .wav with and without the "Timing Reference" wondering if that was the problem but both still show "Unsupported Format".
Any thoughts?
Thanks!

Devices and players vary in the WAV formats they support. Pretty much everything supports 16-bit PCM and 24-bit PCM, 32-bit PCM and 32-bit Float are not always supported. Try 24-bit PCM.

yes thats it. Both 16 and 24 bit work with the Denon receiver. Thanks so much John!
