Hi,

Recently I upgraded to Yamaha A3070. It is possible to add Yamaha YPAO support to REW EQ calculation? The Yamaha is using 1/3 Octave starting at 15hz, with Q and Gain input. The sub channel only allow 4 filters and the rest of the channel 7 filters. If this is possible, it'll help a lot to generate the filter rather than to guess the nearest frequency, Q and Gain to shape the frequency response.

If you need more info, I can attached a screenshot for the valid input for the manual PEQ of YPAO.

Thanks in advance.

For any equalizer REW doesn’t support, you can always use the RTA feature with pink noise, and adjust filters in real time.

Thanks for the suggestion. But the above method doesn’t work with multi position measurement. I’m trying to get an avg response around my head to avoid over compensation.

I really doubt John will ever write support for specific receivers – that’s an impossible task. Your best bet is to get your average and REW’s filter recommendations from it, and dial them into the Yamaha as best as its capability will allow. Averaging is a generalized response anyway, so general equalizing is sufficient.

I'd love 3070 support also, it would benefit all yamaha receivers as they all use the same style of eq
