Export IR response...?

Hi All

So I'm finally setup and measuring my speakers...BUT every guide I can find is for ARTA and maybe its just me but I'm hoping to use REW (free & has additional advantages of all the room/dsp etc built-in for later use).

I have test IRs which I'd like to export, however in ARTA the process is to find the first IR sample and export from exactly the same point for each driver (before the first reflection). Being a nuub I just can't see how to achieve this in REW..

Any assistance appreciated.

BTW here's the IR, are the settings correct for export, i.e. sweep etc.... https://1drv.ms/u/s!AgmKo7c0CB2xjEnK5Ly920ccpXnd

I'm trying to follow: https://kimmosaunisto.net/Software/VituixCAD/VituixCAD Measurement Preparations.pdf

Many thanks
Lea

Ah Ha!

Think I've found it thanks to 3ll3d00d.
There is also an option to apply a window to all measurements while keeping the ref time (aka the peak position) which is generally what you want for this job.

https://1drv.ms/u/s!AgmKo7c0CB2xjE8-6WAO5ytsTE-l

So we can set the the IR Left and Right windows appropriately, left just before the initial impulse and right just before the first reflection, then export all.

Getting there :-)

Edit - how did I miss this: https://www.minidsp.com/application...peaker-measurements#low-frequency-measurement showing the IR Window :-)

Something to keep in mind. REW has no built in DSP. The eq is just to generate the filter settings to input to an actual dSP device.

Sorry I don't follow. I simply discovered the IR window which allows IR export between two precise points in time, which I believe is what's required for VituixCAD

Trying to follow this guide...http://audiojudgement.com/loudspeaker-measurements-part-2/

So I now wonder how one can scale and merge using REW?

Uhm, I wonder: The Scale FR Peak control re-scales the impulse response to achieve a desired maximum SPL figure in the corresponding frequency response. This may be useful to rescale an imported impulse response.

Thanks John, much appreciated, will give it a try.

I note that ARTA has a way to reduce the levels when merging far and near field, can REW accomplish similar?

Cheers
