Hello!
First time I use EQ filters on REW. I have a very simple question.
Here is my room's response (right channel). Not bad but could be better. I'm only interesting on flattening bass frequencies.
I "calculate target level from response)" (55.5dB) :

Then I "generate measurement from target shape" and "match response to target" :

nice, my bass is smooth...but compared to my response above 300hz, too low, see the whole spectrum here :

I'd like simply to add an offset to the target and bring my bass (below 300hz) at the same level (60dB).
OR should I lower the frequencies above 300hz?
Which method is the right one?

How to?

Or did I miss anything?
Many thanks!!!

Michel.

If you are using a sub you could turn it up, if not you probably need a low shelf filter to lift the low end 5 or 6 dB.

Thank you John.
I use a small 2way speaker. Can I use an high shelf filter (from 300hz) on REW EQ filter (So I don't boost, but rather cut)?
I didn't find High-shelf filter in the list?

Shelf filters are further down the list, LS and HS for low shelf and high shelf.
