DALI CALLISTO Speakers with BluOS Launch in the U.S.

(July 26, 2018) Lenbrook Americas has officially launched DALI CALLISTO bookshelf and floorstanding speakers along with the DALI Sound Hub in the United States. The Danish brand originally teamed up with Lenbrook International early last year, and is finally making a much-anticipated jump across the pond.

The CALLISTO lineup is anchored by the company’s 6C (floorstanders) and 2C (bookshelf) active speakers, both of which are designed to operate with the BluOS capable DALI Sound Hub module. The module ships with wireless connectivity from Qualcomm aptX HD for 24bit/96kHz quality tunes, but can be upgraded to include BluOS for Wi-Fi connectivity and Hi-Res audio streaming at bitrates up to 24bit/192kHz. In addition, BluOS boasts impressive expandability, allowing for a complete system with up to 64 other BluOS enabled products.

According to Jeff Earl, DALI Product Manager for Lenbrook Americas: “The wireless DALI CALLISTO speaker system re-imagines Hi-Fi for the 21st Century, without the need for complicated electronics. As a convenient option, users can playback and stream all their Hi-Res music files easily and conveniently via BluOS from their smart device or music server. The CALLISTO Hi-Fi system is made in Denmark and is built on 35 years of award-winning DALI innovation.”

Each 2C and 6C speaker feature topside touch sensitive volume controls, but volume can also be quickly attenuated using an included Bluetooth remote or the Sound Hub’s large volume knob. Hardware-wise, both models are built around a Class D amplifier capable of delivering 250 Watts for up to five seconds. That energy is transformed into sound using 6.5” drivers featuring low-mass wood fiber cones and excellent linear movement due to the inclusion of Soft Magnetic Compound in the pole piece. Low-end output is further boosted by the cabinets’ bass reflex design. And DALI’s trademark hybrid tweeter module mixes both dome and ribbon designs for superior high frequency performance with wide dispersion.

Finish-wise the CALLISTO line can be purchased in white or black wood finishes, with an accessory stand (Stand M-600) available for the 2Cs and carpet spike sets (both models) available separately.

Complete systems consisting of a BluOS upgraded Sound Hub and 2C or 6C stereo pairs sell for $4,750 and $5,750 MSRP, respectively. For more information, visit
