Can t install rew in my pc

Hello to everybody from Greece, Athens, as you can see in the title my problem is that i can t install the rew software to my pc, just before the end of installation comes out a window (you can see it in the photo below) which i don t understand what it means so if you can help me with that i thank you in advance.

I'd guess at a corrupted or incomplete download, but the log file shown in the message may have more info.

The curious thing is that i had install it six months ago without any problem but because without microphone i couldn t do anything i uninstall it, now why can t be installed?
Most strange thing i installed it in my laptop and everything is ok, something with my pc i suspect but i m not good with such staff, anyway if someone knows what to do i d appreciate.

Which installer are you using? If it is not one of those with a JRE you will need to install Java.

I don t know which installer i m not good with that staff give me an example if you can. I install java and rew too after it but it s not working well, when i scroll the pointer of the mouse over the surface the image of the software collapse in pieces i can t explain it better. Yes exactly like this, i restart my pc a few times but i didn t solved it, instead one time i had a total collapse of pc and i couldn t even shut down the rew software so i had to turn off the pc. I have to add that i don t have the microphone umik 1 yet since i m new to rew software and i don t know much about it and just trying to adapt and get to know and in the close future to get the umik 1.

Yes i was just reading that but i m not sure if i can do it, i m not so familiar to pc staff but i ll try it tomorrow morning as i m in bed now and using my phone. Well i tried 5.17 version, look what s happening, the same thing, i ll try all version see if i can find one works with my pc. I wonder, is this has to do with my windows are x64bit?

You need to remove the # at the start of the -Dsun.java2d.d3d=false line in the vmoptions file, # acts as a comment marker so the line is ignored if that is present. The problem is caused by the graphics card driver and Java not working together properly.

Hello, i have another question, i don t have the pc as a source, so ho do i connect pc with my denon a/v to play the the audio tests?

If you can bring your PC sufficiently close to your system it could be connected to a spare analog input on the Denon or, if the PC has an HDMI connection that carries audio, using an HDMI connection. This guide discusses the HDMI option.

Οκ thanks, is it necessary my audio card or the hdmi connection to support 6.1 system on pc or the umik -1 needs only the stereo information?

The UMIK-1 is essentially mono, there is only one mic capsule - it provides the same data on both channels. Whether you need multichannel for the HDMI depends on what you want to measure. With a stereo connection you can measure left and right channels, and if they are set as 'small' or bass limited you can measure the sub output. If your AV processor has multichannel analog inputs you could connect one of your audio card output channels to each multichannel input in turn to measure individual channels. If the HDMI connection is multichannel you can select the individual channels if you use ASIO4All.
