It got delivered today. I’ll take some pics of it and test it out.

You can always get a fan for the top or bottom of the AVR if you are concerned with heat. I bought a couple for my last setup off of Amazon that had 2 or 3 fans with a digital thermostat that was pretty nice.

On the top of my AVR rack there are two holes. I assume they are meant for ventilation fans? What size fan would mount?

I would measure it... I believe the USB powered one that I had also came in a single fan version too. I would def use a fan if the rack has a hole for it. Another thing you could do is go for one of the very quiet computer case fans .

I have tested this little ventilator for a couple of days. It’s super quiet and works excellent. I’m very happy with it. It’s simple and works.

I've been using (2) AC-T8 (17" Rear exhaust) About $120 ea... I know it's more expensive but it's wider and better matches the width of the AVR. Most are 17" wide today... The product is excellent! Temps are kept no higher than 88F and it's quiet! (Especially on lower settings).... BTW, I have 2 extras I bought on Amazon as backups that are still new in box and never used if you are interested. I am willing to let them go at half price! (But they are the rear exhaust configuration if that works for your rack). Just message me if interested. I live in Toronto Canada. - Great product!

Quiet 120mm computer fans are available very cheap. My approach was to put one into a cutout in a cardboard box top (like from a ream of copy paper) painted black, in a position near the amp's hot spot, but covering the entire top of the chassis since it has a wide outlet vent. Mount the fan inside the box pointing upward so it draws air out via the normal ventilation path. Since the fans are 12 volt, you can run them off a 5 volt USB phone charger at a slower and quieter speed. Cut off the smaller end of a USB cable and the fan connector, and match the red and black wires. You can solder them or just twist the stripped wires together, and insulate them with electrical tape or shrink tubing. The other 2 USB data wires are usually green and white I think, you can cut them off short. If your amp has a switched AC outlet on the back, it's all automatic.

Thank you for the offer. The smaller foot print one that I've got works well, and I've got limited space in my rack.

I'm currently using a laptop fan which has 5 fan built into it with blue l.e.d lighting in it and is the same width as my Denon receiver and is only 50 mm high and is powered by usb so costs nothing to run when plugged into the amp also it is very quiet you can't even hear it whilst watching TV.
