Is it possible to use the ethernet connection as a input for the Anthem AVM 60? I am trying to use the media player on my PC to play music through the AVM 60.

If it is DLNA enabled I believe it will work, but you need something like JRiver Media Player.

Look at the DTS Play-Fi also... that allows local streaming. Then it is likely Airplay capable too.

You should have several options, but you will likely need more than just Windows Media Player to make it work.

My Marantz AV 7005 had a Network/USB Input option. I played my 000's of CDs copied to my PC via Windows Media Player through the Network/USB input. I have a new Dell laptop which I plan to use strictly for AV purposes. I hope to copy my Media Player files to the new Dell eventually. I am looking for my options.
Play from PC with ethernet connection to Anthem AVM 60 not from Media Player but JRiver or similar. Option would be CDs played from Dell laptop through AirPlay or DTS Play-Fi. I am really interested now in finding out if the AVM 60 can use the ethernet connection as an Input. I have not found this as an option in my short time with the unit. Is this even possible?

The AVM60 is not DLNA enabled, I do not believe. Like Sonnie mentioned, DTS Play-Fi is what the AVM60 uses for playback of content on the local network, and fair warning, depending on your installation location and network config, Play-Fi connection can be rock solid or spotty at best. Ethernet is highly recommended on the AVM60.

During setup, you configure each input based on the video and audio inputs you want, and the speaker and room correction presets you'd like to apply to that input (it's a really nice configuration tool, very flexible, allowing you to create multiple "virtual inputs" for the same hardware device - see my full review here for a little more info). When configuring an input, the audio options are HDMI 1-7, HDMI ARC, Dig Coax, Optical, Analog, FM, Play-Fi, or none. The option for any DLNA source is not available.

The AVM70 (just announced, not yet available for at least several more weeks) has migrated to Apple AirPlay2 for this functionality.

I really like my AVM60 and have been very pleased with it, however, it's in my dedicated theater room, and I have a separate 2ch system I use for my real music listening, so I haven't really pushed the limits for this type of configuration.

Thanks for the feedback. The unit is being replaced, internet connection problem. I will get into the Pay-Fi features when I get the new unit!
