ARCAM Launches Its New AVR11, AVR21, and AVR32 Receivers and AV41 Processor

(March 11, 2022) ARCAM, a HARMAN luxury audio brand, has launched four new home theater-centric receiver and processor models. The all-new AVR11, AVR21, and AVR31 receivers, and AV41 processor, are being billed as ARCAM's most comprehensive models to date.

The AVR11 and AVR12 both carry seven channels of Class AB power, delivering 85 Watts per channel (all channels driven) and 110 watts per channel, respectively. And both offer additional channels of processing, allowing the AVR11 to decode a total of 12 channels and the AVR21 up to 16 channels. The AVR21 further builds upon expanded capacities with an additional HDMI output for Zone 2 operation.

The AVR31 brings seven channels of Class G amplification to the table. Class G implements multiple power supplies to handle dynamic signals. When the capabilities of the first power supply are exceeded, the secondary supply is gradually introduced, bringing it up to full-rated power output as required. The result is a muscular yet efficient receiver that only sources additional power when needed.

Much like the AVR21, the AVR31 offers owners up to 16 channels of onboard processing.

The AV41 drops internal amplification to serve as a high-performance processor. Presenting the same support for Atmos, DTS:X, and Auro-3D audio as found on ARCAM's new AVRs, its rear panel carries a full complement of XLR balanced outputs for all 16 channels of processing. Of course, ARCAM says it's the perfect mate for ARCAM's amp solutions, the PA720, PA240, and PA410.

All four models utilize HDMI 2.1 with HDCP2.3 for support of resolutions up to 8K at 60fps or 4K at 120fps, along with support for HDR10+ and Dolby Vision. The units also support Apple Airplay2, Google Chromecast, Bluetooth with aptX HD, Spotify Connect, TIDAL Connect, Roon, and MQA. Audio accolades are bolstered by dual ESS9026PRO audiophile DACs, ESS reference voltage regulators, and onboard Dirac Live room calibration. Owners can add on Dirac Live Bass Control for high-quality bass management EQ.

"The audio and video performance of the new AVR range is simply spectacular," said Jim Garrett, Senior Director, Product Strategy and Planning, HARMAN Luxury Audio. "Combine that thrilling performance with a best-in-class feature set, including fully uncompressed 8K HDMI video capability and the latest immersive audio decoding, and you have a real value that is unmatched in the market."

The AVR11, AVR21, AVR31, and AV41 will be available at select retailers beginning in March. Contact your local dealer for pricing and details.

Thanks for the news Todd.

The bugs and/or poor functionality was rather well known on the AV40. Hopefully those issues have been addressed in the AV41. Too bad they left out DTS:X Pro, HLG, and BT2020.

I suspect HLG and BT.2020 are both supported... DTS:X Pro, however, likely isn't. I'd have to agree that not including it is a big miss, especially considering a 16 channel count on 3 of 4 models.

As for bugs – I've read the complaints. You'd think ARCAM would address those in this go around!
