I just built this 10 inch sub box with a Treo SSI 10, and a Boston Acoustics GTR10. (Passive Radiator) This is the first of 2 that I am building. My original intention was for the car. I think this plan might change and I will use them nearfield in my theater.
This is the first sub I have built that is small enough to place in my seat and do the sub crawl. I was curious if I could do this with REW? Turn on the sub calibration noise, and the SPL meter, then slowly walk around the room with the microphone. Looking for the highest SPL reading I suppose. Is this a good idea?
The REW file is from the MLP no tuning of any kind. Also the weights in the Passive Radiator are as installed from the factory. (1 large and 1 small) I tried all of the combinations of weights, but liked the original set the best.
