Complete novice here working through my first REW measurements. I'm enjoying learning about acoustics, but I'm running into an issue.

My understanding is the output device should be the EXCL version of my receiver in order to measure multi channel. However, when changing the output device to the EXCL version of my AVR, I lose output from the sound generator.

If I keep the output device as the regular (non-EXCL option) audio works fine. Issue is that I can only measure L & R channels.

I ran across a thread on here "REW EXCL help" from Feb 21 (sorry, not enough posts to link) when Googling and figured I should start a separate thread as another example.

Below were my settings when trying to check levels and the Debug file

Appreciate the honesty. To be clear, you mean download FlexASIO and just use it instead of Java?

Side question: should output be "default" or "master"?

Yes, download and install FlexASIO, select ASIO as the driver type and configure it using the ASIO control panel button on the REW soundcard preferences.

Output should be the non-default option.

Thank y'all for making this software readily available. I'm an enthusiast, but have always adjusted things by ear. Looking forward to better understanding how to get more out of my room and equipment.
