Error code when choosing Focusrite ASIO Thunderbolt

I have read what is available in the forums so apologize if this is a common problem and there is no fix to it. But, my first generation Focusrite 616 is working fine with my other software and in general but when I choose it in REW I get an error code(0x54f). My third generation solo with its drivers works fine.

Is there a fix to this?

Just to eliminate the obvious, I presume your 6i6i is a Thunderbolt version rather than USB? The Focusrite drivers for each are different I believe.

Are you running a 64-bit version of REW? The 32-bit version does not support Thunderbolt ASIO.

You could alternatively use the Java driver with WASAPI Exclusive (device entry that starts with EXCL: )

Na, not obvious. I had no idea that I had to choose USB. I was confused as when I installed the driver thunderbolt popped up in the drop down menu. Thanks it seems to be working.

So, I just can't get the check speakers noise(speaker check) to come out from the Scarletts SPDIF into the speakers. I have set the mix controler and the mic input is coming out of the speakers with the SPDIF connected to the DAC so I am guessing I am doing something right or a least teh SPDIF is working but it seems there is a lack of connection between REW and the focusrite. Or I have set the mix controller wrong.

Any obvious ideas? Or any threads or infromation on this? Or a better place to post this/

I just would like the focusrite to be connected via SPDIF to the source.

Isn't the SPDIF output one of the options in the Output list in REW?

You do NOT want the mic (or any other input) going to the output, that will make the measurements useless due to feedback effects.

Yeh it is but can't get it to work.

Good point, I managed to get mic input without it transfering into the speakers but check levels can't get to work.

I'll just keep trying some other iterations....
