I am using the Atmos encoded files kindly provided @thothsong to measure my system including the ceiling mounted speakers. The files include the sweep file loaded into the REW "Make a measurement" screen as well as audio files sent via a program seperate from REW. The basics seem to work.
My question is around the REW function of Check Levels. When doing this it is dependent on the output level of the computer running REW (laptop in this case). However, when I play the sound file that will be measured the laptop will not be generating the sound (it will be done by Kodi on a separate device).
Based on this does something need to be to calibrate the output levels between the two devices? Or should I just skip the Check Levels step?
