(May 23, 2019) SVS just made shopping for a compact wireless system a little bit easier, while shaving off a bit coin, bundling its wildly popular Prime Wireless Speaker System with a sealed SB-1000 subwoofer and a 5-meter SoundPath RCA Audio Interconnect Cable.
Prime Wireless has remained a cornerstone member SVS’s wireless arsenal since its launch last year, offering a unique marriage of true stereo separation paired with versatile wireless performance. The speakers, which ship in Piano Gloss Black or Piano Gloss White, carry a 4.5” midrange driver and 1” aluminum dome tweeter capable of delivering SVS’s signature sound. Onboard, a healthy 200 watt RMS (50 watt x 4) amplifier drives the show, while sound is managed by an active digital crossover and 192kHz/24-bit DAC.
Owners can stream music using both WiFi and Hi-Res Bluetooth technologies, with DTS Play-Fi technology opening access to streaming services such as Spotify, Pandora, TIDAL, and Amazon Music. Owners can use the Play-Fi app to control volume levels, sources, and manage a multi-room whole-home system consisting of four zones (16 speakers per zone) comprised of any DTS Play-Fi wireless audio products. And six preset buttons mounted on the speaker's front panel can be used to tag favorite services, channels, playlists, Internet Radio channels, and the like. You can even connect the speakers direct to traditional sources using optical and line level inputs.
Using the supplied SoundPath RCA Interconnect, owners can mate the speakers with the included SVS SB-1000 subwoofer for impressive bass performance. This sub’s compact nature and auto-80Hz high-pass filter lend to tremendous ease of use and placement flexibility, while its front-firing 12” driver can drive the low-end show down to 24Hz. Buyers can choose from a Piano Gloss Black or Premium Black Ash finish, with the latter of the two shaving off roughly $100 in overall cost.
