Different levels when saving .wav sweep

I have the latest version of REW and want to record measurement sweeps to load to my server so I can adjust the JRiver filters. Tried some time ago but had trouble getting the timing reference tone to record on both channels. This seems to be sorted now as I get this tone on both channel sweeps I record, only issue now is that both channels are recorded at different levels even though both channel settings are identical. Right seems correct level but with the left recording I have to max out the volume.

If all settings appear the same where should I look?

Thanks

Bit confused by your comment about having the timing reference on both channels then, since the generator will only put the timing reference on one channel. The sweep goes on either or both according to your selection, and is the same level for both. You can look at the WAV file in Audacity, but the problem is unlikely to be with the file.

Right, I went to the generator and selected the RH channel and set timing reference to RH, saved the .wav as RH. Then changed the channel to LH and set the timing reference to LH then saved the .wav - nothing else was changed but when I saved and played these back through JRiver they were at different levels.
Any chance you could send me a left and right .wav sweep with timing references?

Thanks Dave

Why would the files I generate be any different to the ones you generate? Have you tried playing the files on anything else? Could also attach them here.

I just thought that you'd produce files that are right, I'm obviously doing something wrong!
Pretty sure I noticed the difference when I played them back through my laptop.

I work away so I'll recheck when I get home in the weekend and attach what I've generated.
