AXPONA 2018 Celebrates Its Ninth Year at a New Larger Location
“We are excited to welcome attendees to AXPONA’s new home at the Schaumburg Renaissance Convention Center, and offer new and expanded features including a larger Exhibit Hall,” said Liz Miller, VP, Event Director, AXPONA.
Show attendees will have access to more than 150 listening rooms loaded with amazing gear from companies such as Emotiva, Pass Laboratories, PS Audio, Exposal, and Acoustique Quality. In all, AXPONA estimates that more than 400 manufacturers will be represented at the event.
In addition, the new venue allows for an expanded 30,000 square foot Exhibit Hall, which will house both the Marketplace and Ear Gear Expo. There, show goers will find an amazing array of gear, including turntables, cables, racks and stands, headphones, and more. The show will also feature an all-new Record Shop pavilion (housed within the Exhibit Hall space) loaded with vintage vinyl, CDs, SACDs, and downloads. Add to that a new “Master Class Theater” featuring curated content presented by industry experts, and music fans have all of their bases covered.
The show is also scheduled to host live concert events, including a Saturday night “Blues Revue” presented in partnership with Delmark Records. That particular event celebrates the 65th Anniversary of the Delmark label.
AXPONA 2018 will be open April 13-15 with a variety of ticket options. A single day pass is $25 and two day passes are $40. Standard three day passes cost $50, while special three day “Gold Pass Package” passes are $95. Eligible students can purchase reduced rate tickets for $10 a day (a multi-day option is available). Show times are as follows: Friday and Saturday 10 am – 6 pm; Sunday 10 am – 4 pm.
