image.jpg So a couple years ago I got my hands on some Paradugm 3se speakers that are in great sounding shape but the boxes ar in rough condition.
Should I just buy a roll of wood veneer and glue that to the surface and then stain that or is there a better way?

I’m sure new veneer is the way to go, if you have the skill to install it properly (I don’t!). You can’t really do anything else with a box made of MDF.

Why not lose the wood grain and give them some kind of slick exterior gloss color?

That's also an option, I'm not sure what would be less work.

I think piano black gloss would look nice. BUT for me veneer is an easier option. Although if you wanted you could have a high gloss on the veneer and that would be just as much work. :)

Ya, doing a high gloss black would look sharp but its tough to get that look unless you have the right stuff like a paint gun and some sort of booth.
